I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World

Chapter 106 - Greeting The Lord

Just as the observant residents of Silvercove city thought the falling meteor was going to rip a large crater in their town, the descending spacecraft greatly decelerated with a press of a button from Emperor Polemos.

Boom!

The spacecraft crash-landed, shattering the asphalt road and quaking the earth in the vicinity slightly upon impact, nonetheless.

Still, it was a far cry from what could have been great devastation, not inferior to an atomic bomb's blast.

The hatch opened while the crowd in the vicinity inspected the big black spaceship in shock.

"Is this a spaceship? Why does it kind of look familiar?" a middle-aged man muttered with doubts.

"Why wouldn't it be? This is Emperor Polemos's private spacecraft!" responded a bespectacled young man as he gazed at the black spacecraft with excitement and reverence.

The crowd was quickly startled by the young man's words before one of them muttered, "Emperor Polemos's private spacecraft? Does that mean Emperor Polemos has descended from Damocles?"

"That has to be! No one else flies his spacecraft!" another person spoke with certainty.

Sure enough, Emperor Polemos was seen exiting the hatch, but no one rushed to greet the emperor.

Everyone made way for the emperor. The only exception to this was the mad news reporters that came flocking over like their lives depended on it.

"Emperor Polemos, what brings you back down to Earth? Are you prepared to wage another war with the other three emperors?"

"Is there any relation between your visit and Hero Wudi's feat of befalling the big interdimensional creature of epic proportions?"

The news reporters bombarded Emperor Polemos with many questions as the person inspected the surroundings.

Shortly after, Emperor Polemos glanced at a young female news reporter while pointing to the big block of Phantasmium, "Where is the person who took down this creature?"

"Shall I bring the person to you, Your Majesty?" the female news reporter queried respectfully.

She had subconsciously placed Emperor Polemos on a higher pedestal than the one who had supposedly one-shotted the Behemoth-class interdimensional creature and pierced the heavens.

"I wouldn't dare." Emperor Polemos shook his head and said, "Just bring me to the person. I am unfamiliar with this city."

"Yes, Your Majesty!" is what the young female news reporter said before she turned her head towards a particular direction, "Hero Wudi is just over there!"

The crowd cleared a path as Emperor Polemos followed her gaze and locked onto a person in a heavy black suit of armor.

Seeing the person matched with the person in the live news on his phone screen, Emperor Polemos immediately nodded before making his way over.

Suddenly, Cao Wudi found himself confronted with one of the four strongest people on Earth, causing his knees to feel soft.

"C-Can I help you with something, Your Majesty?" Cao Wudi asked nervously while the person gave him a stern look, causing him to be even more nervous.

After looking at Cao Wudi sternly and sensing a trace of the Dark Emperor's aura on the person's body, Emperor soon broke into smiles, "Your disguise is impeccable as ever, my lord! You almost had this subordinate fooled for a moment!"

"This subordinate welcomes the lord's return. Your will is eternal, and your might is supreme—more than ever!" The emperor greeted on one knee, immediately stunning everyone.

The words that Cao Wudi was about to speak were immediately stuck in his throat.

'Oh, f*ck me! I don't know who the emperor thinks I am, but if he realizes that he knelt to the wrong person, would he slap me to death in anger?' Cao Wudi trembled in thought, not knowing whether to laugh or cry at the turns of events.

Why do bad things keep happening to him? Was this some sort of sick joke?

At the same time, Albion used his Eyes of Ashura to observe the situation before he was slightly startled.

"Who would have thought that there was at least one general still loyal to the Dark Emperor..." Albion muttered before he frowned.

"Polemos was at war with the other three generals? Why was there no information on this despite the news reporter seeming to be aware of this?"

After a moment of thought, Albion came up with a guess, "Were all the information restricted to higher-level access only in the Hunter World website?"

...

Meanwhile, the crowd went frenzied from Emperor Polemos's act of kneeling while the live feed exploded the forums.

[SteadyAsMountTai301: How unexpectedly that the emperor would kneel to another person. Who is this Hero Wudi really?]

[ICan'tRun427: Unexpected? More like completely shocking! There's only one person that can make Emperor Polemos kneel! And that person is the True Immortal that the world knows nothing about!]

[GreatSageEqualHeaven02: Keke, I see you two are still lively over there. Isn't that great? Two of the most powerful men on Earth are now in your city. How envious!]

[GrimTheReaper'sFollower09: Seems like there will be fewer souls for my master to collect in this city. Boohoo.]

[DeathByHomework13: Y'all so free to talk online when dangerous interdimensional creatures are literally looming outside your houses.]

[CuriousReader49: *Chuckles* I'm in danger.]

"L-Let us talk inside the building." Cao Wudi spoke with an unsteady voice.

If he were going to explain to the emperor, it should be done more privately and not in public to embarrass the emperor.

"Of course, my lord!" Emperor Polemos cracked a smile.

He followed Cao Wudi into the Hunter Association building while the crowd dared not do the same and gathered outside.

At the same time, a shadow flickered across building rooftops, moving closer to the fortified black building.

Inside the Hunter Association building, Cao Wudi quickly took a deep breath before turning to Emperor Polemos.

"Y-You have been mistaken, Your Majesty. I am not your lord, and I definitely did not take down that enormous interdimensional creature. I just happened to be in the area," Cao Wudi almost cried as he was explaining.

"Hahaha, you can drop the act now, my lord." Emperor Polemos chuckled before saying, "The whole local news said you did. They even say mentioned a black figure, and you can't be any blacker than you are right now."

"But this isn't the most crucial point. You can fool my eyes with your disguise, but you forgot to hide the unique aura mark that you usually like to leave on all your subordinates and disciples to disguise yourself amongst us."

"All subordinates and disciples would have at least paid their respects with a bow at least when they see me. However, you did not do so because you are the supreme ruler of this mortal world and bow to no one." Emperor Polemos spoke with great certainty.

'F*ck!' Cao Wudi silently cursed in his mind.

His legs have gone soft long ago. The only reason he was still standing was because of the thick armor holding him up.

'If I could bow, I would gladly do it right now!' Cao Wudi screamed in his mind, but he retained a genial smile and said helplessly, "I am really not the person you are looking for. I don't know what mark you are talking about, but there's a reason why I can't bow, Your Majesty…"

"He is really not the person you're looking for, Polemos. It's m—"

Bam!

Albion entered with a calm and casual smile when his figure suddenly disappeared back outside the building from Emperor Polemos's powerful kick.

Emperor Polemos glanced in the direction of Albion's catapulted body before he snorted with disdain, "Who the f*ck are you? Don't interrupt this Emperor when he is speaking with his Lord.
