Chapter 99 Suspense

CHAPTER 99

As the days drew closer to the fashion show, Andromeda had different feelings surging right at her.

At the same time, the order from clients did not go down but Liu Xueyi had an announcement sent and posted on their social media handles to close accepting orders until after the fashion show.

This was to enable them to best prepare and to fulfil his word about not stressing her.

Besides, they had enough reviews now and even their rise on the fashion weekly was going top-notch.

Compared to Divine Pearl whose release rate of their new designs had drastically dropped this was a new hit in the fashion world.

Several magazines covered their upcoming fashion show, itching to know the theme of their show and when it was going to be released.

Of course, Liu Xueyi did not want to answer since he was not the brain behind the works.

Instead, kept the press waiting while he decided to speak to Andromeda about it.

They were seated opposite each other having their discussion over a cup of coffee when he dropped the bomb on her.

"Till now you have not named our new designs."

"Oh, yeah. I may not have but I shall," she hinted with a smile as she brought her cup of coffee to her lips.

She knew just like the others, Liu Xueyi was dying to know.

From what he'd seen so far amidst her designs there was so much touch of her boldness put into it.

She was not scared to do what she wanted and it showed how her personality and dedication were put in place, adding every touch to the designs as they came alive.

They had barely three days excluding that day at the fashion show and yet nothing to steal his breath away.

He did not want to wait like the others did to know this little information.

"Why keep me in the dark, Andromeda?"

"Isn't it obvious? I want my masterpiece and my name to resonate properly when it does."

"Oh come on. We need it to produce the magazines and other things. It would blow up in the country and I want exactly that. Don't you?" He gave his speech convincingly she almost had a change of mind.

"Well. I shall drop it in your email tonight. Worry not. But I guess you already have an idea." She winked at him, dropping her cup on the tray in front f her.

She crossed her legs once again, her creamy thighs showing through the small slit on her white long-fled trousers with slits directly at the middle of each leg, coming to a stop just below her thigh.

She wore a white black and white poker dot suit with a crop top white inner to complete the ensemble.

Her outfit resonated with her stance and her pure heart, while showing the world she was coming for them.

A slow smile worked its way into her face and across her eyes. "Sorry I have to do this."

"No worries. I love the suspense as well, anyways."

"Good. Umm, I would be going to a seminar tomorrow. The top fashion critique would be coming to the city and hosting a talk. I look forward to meeting him."

"Ah. I see. Okay. You can go. Anything to boost your ideas." His smile remained on his lips as he moved his chair closer to his desk.

"I have to get to work now, Andy. We would speak some other time."

She got on her feet, picked up her phone from the desk and dipped her head in a little and walked away.

Just as expected, she got one or two tricks from listening to the man, Yu Bao.

He was known for his critical analytical skills when it came to fashion sense. He had once visited her school when she was a student and they all learnt a lot from him.

Now acing him after six years, Andromeda felt thrilled.

There was only one outfit she had difficulty designing to get the best out of, but listening to this man's extensive output on designs, she found the missing piece in her drawing.

By the time she was done, she kept her iPad in her bag and proceeded to the door.

Just then she felt a hand tap on her shoulder, causing her to halt in her steps. She waited for the person to speak but no one did.

As much as she wished to take it as though it was a mistake, that particular cologne did not let her.

Wearing her calm smile, Andromeda called out with a sigh. "Sun Yichen," before she turned to face her disturber.

"Should I say I am impressed by your intelligent skills at guessing who it was before you turned?"

"Well, think what you may. I just know your cologne is had to miss."

"You like? I can tell you the name so you get one for your father."

Her smile fell instantly at the mention of her father. Sensing his mistake, Sun Yichen cleared his throat and apologized.

"I am sorry if I said something wrong."

'It's okay. He has his cologne. Buying him that was my mother's speciality. And now that she is gone."

'Ohh. You do not want to remind him, do you?"

She forced a smile to her cheeks instead of replying.

"What say you, Miss? This is the second time we are meeting and I assume your word, you still recall?"

"Yes. I never forgot. Although now I feel I should have increased the chances. If I did not know better, I would have said you were stalking me."

She folded her arms in front of her chest and waited for his reply.

"Me? Why would you think that?" Sun Yichen faked a frown.

"Every meeting till date has been purely based on luck," he explained.

"Yeah."

If she was stupid, she might have fallen for his lie but Andromeda knew better.

As much as she acted till now, she knew that toying with Sun Jingyi was just the first problem. His family or that stupid Fang Daiyu would retaliate.

So, when she walked up to her, she knew he was not going to let her be which was why she used this trick on him.

And each time he proved her right whenever she saw his men watching and tailing her.

'Stupid.' She mentally cursed in her mind.
